American Flag Dresser in Grays

I am always drawn to the American Flag.


 It moves me.


 I’d seen dressers painted as flags and loved the idea....and the option that it offered for young men’s rooms which are so limited when it comes to painted furniture designs

I was challenged by a friend to paint a piece in grays and felt this was the perfect time to paint the flag dresser....but in a monochromatic version.

The bowed front of this Hepplewhite dresser lent itself to the natural wave of a flag.

The gray chalk paint colors I used:

  1. Manatee Gray

  2. Hurricane Gray

  3. In the Navy

  4. Fluff

Heavy distressing seemed appropriate to the final finish......especially if it were going to be utilized in a boys room.

(Side note....my adult son saw this piece and carried it right out of the shop and into his home where it stands today!)
