This wisteria design transfer pine box may very well be the easiest project I've ever done as well as the shortest blog I've ever written!

I found this rickety old raw wood pine box at a local thrift store and scored it for just a few bucks!
The style of the box triggered a nostalgic feeling from days gone by....bittersweet days that were tough at the time but I'm so thankful for what those days brought to my life on the other side of the mess.
I bought it....brought it home....set it aside and waited for the right project to present itself.
Dixie Belle recently released several new products and the Wisteria Spring Transfer was one of them. The nostalgic feeling came over me as my grandparents had this growing wild over their fence on a street called Sunnyside!

This is when I decided to do nothing more but marry the two items......the raw pine box and the sweet transfer.....and enjoy!
I simply gave the pine box a good washing using White Lightning to remove any dirt and oils..... and sat it in the sun for an afternoon to dry.
The next day.....cut out some of the wisteria pieces and played around with the placement.
And then I just applied them!
So simple!
Peel of the white backing. Stick into position. Rub the transfer with the provided stick to release from the backing. Slowly remove the plastic backing. Burnish the final transfer one last time with a soft cloth or fine grit sand paper. And seal.
I chose Top Coat in Flat....to protect the transfers....and actually applied it all over the wood box.
It dries completely clear with no sheen.
I absolutely love the shabby chic timeless beauty of this scarred and simple box.
And the addition of the wisteria blossoms gives it that sweet factor that matches my memories from Sunny Side Drive!
Furniture makeovers can be just this simple....and meaningful.....when you open your heart and mind to it!
