I could look at these photos from my Create Boldly Florida workshop a thousand times and feel the same excitement and pride for these women every single time!
This was my very first furniture painting class where everyone did the EXACT same thing.....sort of! LOL!
I requested all that attend to bring the same size furniture piece.....with 2-3 drawers.....and no long legs.
I wanted each piece to have enough surface space to allow for blending/stencils/molds and furniture design application.
Each attendee was given the same colors of paint to blend....the same stencil and transfer....and then a small mold to apply. See all the supplies we used in the shop section below.
I led the class with the help of guest furniture artist Solly Jo Moore of WoodUBend......and I believe it was an absolute success! You can see my and Solly Jo's demo pieces here.
Over the course of two days......we created 23 pieces in all!!!
Today I share with you what happens when you guide 21 women in stepping out of their comfort zone.....and encourage them to create with beautiful and bold colors by Dixie Belle Paint!
I hope you enjoy viewing each artist with their finished creation. I must tell you that some went at it quite comfortably.....while others were WAY less than comfortable.
But once they started working.....we watched each artist blossom with confidence and pride. We also witnessed the support of one another....lots of hands-on assistance and brainstorming ideas.
In the end....they were asking us to commit to doing this workshop again next year! And that to me...means success!
