Meet Melissa P.

Melissa has been in The Best You for 200 days!  She originally joined for weight loss but after 30 days on the program, she was shocked that she wasn't taking over the counter medication or prescription muscle relaxers for pain anymore!  Her cronic pain is virtually gone!  Read more of Melissa's story below...

My second favorite is the big salad with sweet potatoes, chopped apples, mixed greens, avocado with coconut aminos used as a salad dressing and a little sprinkle of salt.

My third favorite is stir fry. Stir fry is so flexible you can use anything you have and I use Tracey's "House Seasoning" of himalayan salt, garlic powder, and cinnamon cooked in Coconut oil and Coconut Aminos. My current favorite is sliced sweet potatoes, broccoli over riced cauliflower and a side of protein. This past week I used ground hamburger one day and another day I used a serving of rotisserie chicken.

List your favorite AIP snacks. I love smoothies, apples, carrots, frozen grapes, sweet potatoes fries and pitted dates lightly dipped in 100% Cacao. How do you stay AIP compliant outside your home (work, social gatherings, traveling, etc)? This is a tough one since I work from home mostly. On the days I do work on site, I usually bring a smoothie for breakfast and then go to the salad bar and fill up and bring my own coconut aminos for salad dressing. I've also brought an avocado and sliced it up over my salad to before. I just attended my first graduation party for this year and I had a smoothie before we went. This helped with the temptations. My husband and I have also gone to a nice seafood restaurant and I had a nice salad with grilled salmon and brought my own pitted dates for dessert. I was VERY happy and satisfied when we left! What other lifestyle implements have helped with your success (sleep, stress management, exercise)? I am working on strengthening my back and core muscles. I could not resist getting the Feet Up after seeing Tracey do her routine on Instagram! I am not as proficient as she is, by far! But I am improving! Just getting my feet up in a handstand position and hanging out feels great on my neck. When I do come down from an upright position I work on bringing my legs down as slow as I can.
