Where do you live (city/state)? Perry, Iowa
What is your WHY for joining The Best You and eating AIP? Do you have a specific diagnosis? My original WHY was to lose weight. My doctor has been after me for years to slim down. It's hard to face when you see Morbid Obese on your medical chart. I kept telling myself I was healthy other than being extremely overweight. That was such a lie!! Morbid Obesity is a disease. I was addicted to sugar, junk food, and Coca-Cola.

How did you learn about The Best You? I am a huge Tracey's Fancy follower. I watched the day she revealed that she had a serious health issue. I cried! My Tracey is sick!! The world will never be the same.
Then something short of a miracle happened, she was getting better. I was amazed. I wanted that same thing for me. I was tempted to start with her first class, but I had just opened my dream store and it consumed my life. At the encouragement from Tracey, I joined. I have never regretted, not one single day, of joining The Best You.

Share your successes!! I lost weight. How much? I have no idea!! I haven't been on a scale for over a year. I just know I went from a tight size 18 pant and 2X top to almost size 12 (some 12's fit) and a medium/large top. The weight loss was just the cherry on top. I've had a problem with acne as an adult, no more.

I sleep better, think clearer, have more energy and enjoy life. I am no longer a slave to sugar, junk food, and soft drinks.
Have you re-introduced any foods yet? If yes, what and what were the results? I've reintroduced eggs and nuts without any issues. I will not try to reintroduce dairy, legumes, grains or nightshades.
I tried chicken grilled with a seasoning that contained peppers and within a matter of minutes, I could tell it was making me sick.
What tricks/tips made this life easier? Smoothies were my saving grace in the beginning, they helped me get through the sugar cravings.

List your top AIP go-to meals... Roasted sweet potatoes, a big ole salad, and chicken stir-fry
List your favorite AIP snacks... Fresh pineapple with blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries - and I have never been a huge fruit lover. A mixture of cut-up veggies is always on hand as well.
How do you stay AIP compliant outside your home (work, social gatherings, traveling, etc)? Always be prepared! I take a big soft-sided cooler with me every time I am leaving the house for more than a few hours.
What other lifestyle implements have helped with your success (sleep, stress management, exercise)? Enjoy life again!! My days were spent thinking about my next meal. I can now focus on my health and happiness.
My husband has noticed a huge change in me, not only physically but mentally as well. It's the best compliment I could get.
What advice would you give to someone just starting The Best You? Take it slow, don't try to jump ahead. Reach out to the Besties when you are struggling, they are great support, accountability and so encouraging. You are not alone!
