Over the past few weeks, something really special happened inside my little corner of the internet. I hosted my very first Painted Chair Retreat at Home... a nine-hour experience spread across three Friday nights... where women from all over gathered online with one shared goal: to paint a chair.   Painting chairs has become a big part of my creative journey.  But what happened during this painted chair retreat at home went far beyond paint and fabric. It became a community!

One of the things I love showing people is that you're not locked into just one type of paint when learning how to paint a fabric chair. On this piece, I used two different paint lines—an all-in-one paint and a chalk mineral paint—to demonstrate how beautifully they can work together.
